Socom Confrontation is a definite PSN title I’m keeping a close watch on. Being an owner of all Socom titles, it only gets me more excited when I see new Socom footage. We finally have a first glimpse of the game from PAX, and like 95% of all videos yet to be shown from PAX the quality, and audio is not the greatest. Also you can get a short look at the customization screen in the first video, but unfortunately the player does not go into the details. I think it should a requirement next year that anyone bringing in a camera should have a stand. Three new Socom Confrontation Videos can be viewed after the jump!

Currently the front page has been taking a lot of the fame for what GameXtract is about, and many do not realize the valuable community we have that is in fact just a click away. The forums serves as a place for both the staff, and its readers to lay back, and get to know each other without the in-direct comment section you will find on the front page. The box art itself still hasn’t been shown on Amazon (but it should come soon, as the IGN voting for the boxart earlier this week is already over for the US). The one above is simply of the three candidates (and the obvious favorite). But until now, we haven’t really known what was going to be the in CE edition of the game. Sony’s new re-design for the PSP looks sleeker, and more improved than ever. The new model will be releasing on October 14th in the U.S, 15th in Europe, and 16th in Australia. The technical specs have been revealed courtesy of marketwatch, and if your into advanced details then this should be complete eye candy for your day. Maybe I’m not too good when it comes to viewing technical details, but if you look under supported codec you will notice AVI is under the list. If I’m not misreading the list then AVI is a big win for the new model. Check out the full advanced specs after the jump.

Everyone got a good surprise on the PAX floor today when Rooster Teeth showed up with a new video just for the convention. The video is quite different from their normal Red Vs Blue projects, and takes a cartoon approach. Thankfully we still got the good voice acting which you can never get tired of. We have some screenshots as well as a some footage (although not the greatest) after the jump. Got to love those Red Vs Blue shows!

Yes the title is not a typo, and we are not pulling another sarcastic stunt. IGN held an interview with Cliff Bleszinski recently, and inside the interview destructoid found some very terrifying news for PC gamers.

Gears of War is a great franchise first and foremost for Xbox 360, and therefore we’re focusing on that platform for Gears of War 2. We’ve decided we’re not going to do a PC version this time around.

Taken right from Cliff Bleszinski himself. This is definitely a let down for many PC gamers, and we hope they do plan on changing their minds down the road, but currently it’s a COMPLETE 360 exclusive.

If you remember the Bungie video created not too long ago announcing a new multiplayer feature that would expand the online portion of the title. Here at PAX an image was retrieved by AddictGaming showing off the rumored expansion. The build is known as 1.2, and the only option selectable is the multiplayer option. While the image does not reveal much more its only a matter of time before Bungie will spill the beans. Click the image above to view the full size.

Europe may be getting titles after North America with every new release, but at least they get the sick bundles. A European online store has reported that a new LittleBigPlanet PS3 Bundle will be available on November 5th 2008. The bundle comes with an 80GB PS3, a copy of LittleBigPlanet, one dualshock 3 controller, and all the regular accessories that come with the Playstation 3 unit (ethernet cable, USB, AV cable). You have probably been tolled many times from various websites that if you like to blow stuff up then Mercenaries is definitely for you. Well this isn’t always true. Sometimes you might have to settle for the smaller objects in life, rather than a….well, that big stuff. Don’t have a clue about what I’m talking about? Then go ahead, and check out some leaked footage of Mercenaries 2 after the jump. You will get a good laugh for sure. Just a reminder that the game will be available on the 360, PS3, and the PS2 on August 31st. Which is tomorrow!

Yesterday we posted a low quality video showing off the new level, but we were not satisfied. Thankfully another video with higher quality was uploaded, and can be watched after the jump for viewing.
